About CEO ToddlerMeet the CEO:Diane Simon, MS, CCC-SLP is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist currently in pediatric private practice in the state of Georgia. Ms. Simon has used her fifteen years of experience in early language development to create CEO Toddler for parents, therapists and teachers. Ms. Simon is certified in “Hippotherapy” and has enjoyed using horses and other animals to stimulate the development of language in toddlers within natural environments. Read about her experiences in this exciting area of speech therapy as reported in this New Jersey Herald article (PDF). Mission:In my practice as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, I have learned that all toddlers have unique personalities, talents and learning styles. It has always been exciting for me to think of new ideas to help each individual toddler learn language to their fullest potential. Through this website, I am happy to be able to share my favorite language-based play ideas and interactive wooden toys with you. I hope you will enjoy more quality play time with your toddlers following the CEO Toddler motto “Work 2 Play, Play 2 Learn Language." Birth of the CEO Toddler Concept:When most of us think about Chief Executive Officers of large corporations, we think of people who are high achievers and leaders with exceptional intelligence and extraordinary communication skills. I have often wondered which toys successful CEOs might have played with as toddlers, and whether their parents could identify certain play skills that started their early path toward success. Through this website, I hope to provide parents with activities that engage children in play activities which focus on Listening, Interaction, Speaking and Thinking skills using natural toys in natural environments. I invite you to put aside the high-tech toys in your house, play creatively with your child, and see if a little CEO Toddler starts to appear: a Child with Endless Original Ideas. |
