Pedia-Rehab Speech Therapy

Pedia-Rehab provides pediatric speech therapy services to children of all ages in a variety of settings. We offer evaluation and treatment services in our Canton, Georgia clinic and early intervention programs. We also consult in public and private schools and the home environment. Pedia-Rehab specializes in providing:

• Speech/Language Therapy to help children develop articulation (speech) and expressive/receptive language skills appropriate for their age level.
• Oral Motor & "Prompt" Therapy to help children develop their speech musculature and improve motor planning for speech disorders such as "apraxia".
• Feeding Therapy to help children develop age appropriate eating and drinking skills, oral motor skills, and address sensory-based feeding disorders.
• Cognitive Therapy to help children develop auditory processing, attention and memory skills which facilitate language acquisition.
• Hippotherapy to help children develop speech and language skills using the horse as a treatment tool. It provides "sensory integration" which greatly helps children with a variety of neurological disorders. Diane Simon, MS, CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with 15 years of experience helping children with communication disorders. She holds a professional license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Georgia and New Jersey. Diane earned her Masters degree in Communication Disorders from William Paterson College in New Jersey in 1993. Her educational experience as a child study team member, school therapist, and private school consultant has helped her create unique and individualized programs for children with special needs. She combines her love of horses by using "Hippotherapy" as a multi-sensory treatment tool to facilitate therapy goals. Diane has also pursued additional training in "Prompt" therapy, oral-motor therapy, and feeding disorders. For over 10 years she has successfully used therapeutic play to facilitate language with children on the Autism Spectrum. She has recently published some of her favorite play based language activities in her new book "The CEO Toddler Work Manual".
